Terms of Service

Rules for using Unlimited OCR 2, covering your account, credits, plans, credit packs, your documents and output, and prohibited uses

1. Agreement

Unlimited OCR 2 ("Unlimited OCR 2", "we", "our") runs an online OCR tool at unlimitedocr2.com. When you create an account or use any part of the site, you accept these Terms of Service. If you don't accept them, don't use Unlimited OCR 2.

2. What Unlimited OCR 2 provides

Unlimited OCR 2 turns documents into text:

  • Each job takes one PDF (up to 50 MB) or one image (PNG, JPG or WEBP, up to 20 MB).
  • You choose whether to recognise all pages or a page range, and whether you want Markdown or plain text.
  • The result is saved in your account and can be downloaded as a .md or .txt file.

The service is built on the open-source Unlimited OCR 2 model released by Baidu under the MIT license. Unlimited OCR 2 at unlimitedocr2.com is an independent service and is not affiliated with or endorsed by Baidu.

Features may be added, changed or retired over time. If a change would substantially cut back something you have already paid for, we will try to tell you before it happens.

3. Your account

  • You can sign up with an email and password or with Google.
  • Keep your details accurate and your password private. What happens under your login is your responsibility.
  • You need to be of legal age to make a binding agreement in your country.
  • If you suspect someone else got into your account, write to support@unlimitedocr2.com straight away.

4. Paying with credits

Unlimited OCR 2 only works with paid credits. There is no free tier or trial.

  • 1 credit pays for 1 recognised page. An image counts as one page.
  • Credits for a job are charged when the job starts.
  • If a job fails, its credits are returned to your balance automatically.
  • The price you pay is the one shown on the pricing page when you buy. Prices are in US dollars, and tax may be added at checkout depending on where you live.

5. Plans

  • Three plans are available: Starter, Pro and Ultra, each billed monthly or yearly.
  • Plan credits are added once a month, on yearly billing too. Plan credits left over when a monthly cycle ends lapse; they don't roll over.
  • Each plan also limits how many pages a single document can have and how many documents can be processed at once. The current limits are shown on the pricing page.
  • A plan renews by itself at the end of each billing period until you cancel it.
  • You can cancel anytime in the billing portal under /settings/billing. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the period you have paid for, and you keep your plan until then.

6. Credit packs

  • Pocket, Stack and Archive packs are bought once, and their credits never expire.
  • Plan credits are always spent first; pack credits are spent after they run out.

7. Payment processing

Stripe handles all payments. You enter card details on Stripe's pages, and they never pass through our servers. Stripe's own terms also apply to your payment.

8. Refunds

  • Credits for failed jobs are returned to your credit balance automatically, not to your card.
  • If you think you were charged by mistake or want to ask about a refund, write to support@unlimitedocr2.com from your account email. We look at each request individually.
  • Your statutory consumer rights are not affected by anything in this section.

9. Your documents and your output

  • The documents you upload stay yours, and so does the text we produce from them.
  • You may use your output for any purpose, including commercial use.
  • You must have the right to upload and process every document you submit. You are responsible for what you upload and how you use the results.
  • We use your documents and results only to run your jobs. We don't share or publish them, and we don't use them to train models.

10. Prohibited uses

Using Unlimited OCR 2 to do any of the following is not allowed:

  • Uploading or processing illegal content.
  • Processing documents you have no right to process.
  • Trying to abuse, attack or overload the service, or get around its limits or billing.
  • Reselling raw access to the service.

Accounts that break these rules may be suspended or closed. If we close an account for a serious violation, its remaining credits may be lost.

11. Ending the agreement

You can stop at any time and delete your account yourself in your account settings, or ask us to do it at support@unlimitedocr2.com. Deleting your account also deletes your uploaded files and results. We may suspend or end your access if you breach these Terms or if the law requires it. Provisions that should naturally survive, such as amounts owed, disclaimers and liability limits, remain in effect afterwards.

12. No warranties

OCR output can contain errors, especially with blurry, low-resolution or rotated scans. Check your results before you rely on them. The service is provided "as is" and "as available" with no warranties, to the extent the law allows. We can't promise it will always be available or free of errors.

13. Liability cap

As far as the law allows, Unlimited OCR 2 is not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential losses, or for lost profits, data or goodwill. For any claim about the service, our total liability is limited to what you paid us during the 12 months before the claim. This does not exclude liability that the law says cannot be excluded.

14. Updates to these Terms

These Terms may be revised. The date at the top of this page will change when they are, and we will tell you by email or on the site about significant changes. If you keep using Unlimited OCR 2 after a change takes effect, the revised Terms apply to you.

15. Applicable law

These Terms are governed by the law of the place where the operator of Unlimited OCR 2 is established, and its courts handle disputes, unless the consumer law of the country you live in lets you bring a claim there.
